Tea and chocolate lovers, this collection is especially for you!

We are excited to announce a collaboration with Tsay Tea, another Taiwanese-American woman-owned small business.  These teas are personally curated and sourced from Taiwan, including one from Victoria's family farm.

We at Formosa Chocolates have always felt that tea and chocolate make the perfect pairing, and are excited to present this tea and chocolate flight!  Our current collection consists of bonbons made from Frozen Peak Oolong (Dong Ding Oolong), Iron Goddess Oolong (Tie Guan Yin),  and Bi Luo Chun Green (San Xia Canyon).  Each is in our popular miniature tea cup shape.

The 12 pc collection is decorated with a nostalgic Hakka floral print band, which has come to be associated with Taiwanese culture, and can be seen on the hats of tea pickers from Victoria's family tea farm.  It includes 4 pcs of each tea flavor.  The set also includes tasters of the three corresponding teas, and postcards with brewing instructions and tasting notes for each.

The 6 pc collection includes 2 pcs of each tea flavor.  The Hakka floral print band is estimated to be in store June 5.  It also includes your choice of tea taster, postcard with brewing instructions, and tasting notes.

Care information

Our chocolate is best kept in a cool, dry environment, away from sunlight and strong-smelling food. The ideal conditions are 55°F to 65°F and around 50% humidity. A wine fridge is a perfect storage solution!

For longer-term storage (up to 6 months), you can freeze them by following these steps:

  • Wrap the entire box tightly in several layers of plastic wrap.
  • Store in the freezer.
  • When ready to enjoy, remove from the freezer and allow to reach room temperature before unwrapping. (This is critical to prevent sugar or fat bloom—the rough, grayish texture.)

Thawed bonbons should be enjoyed within 2 weeks.
