May 6 Shipping update
Dear customers, please be aware of warm temperatures when placing your order. We continually update our shipping options to offer you the best rates we can, while trying to optimize for weather. We do not profit from shipping charges - these are simply the rates we are able to obtain from UPS, plus cost of packaging and handling.
Our goal is to give the chocolates the best opportunity to arrive in perfect condition.
During the summer months, all orders will be automatically be packed with ice packs and and a thermoreflective barrier, but for warmer destinations, we recommend addition of an insulated cooler. However well we pack them, all of these are only able to keep chocolates cool for about 36 hrs.
Please be sure to keep an eye on tracking information the day the chocolates are scheduled to arrive, so they do not sit on a porch or hot mailbox, which no insulation can protect against.
Please choose your shipping option wisely.
Generally, UPS ground is fine for Bay Area orders. The safest way to ship your chocolates outside of the Bay Area is via UPS Next Day Air services. We cannot be liable for melted chocolates if you choose slower shipping options when warm weather is expected at your destination. If high temperatures above 65 degrees are in the forecast, please pick a Next Day Air option.
Please identify in the notes section of your order if you require delivery by a certain day, and we will do our best to accommodate.
While we present you multiple shipping options, ultimately the final decision (and responsibility) to choose the best option is yours.
