When we visited Taiwan last summer, we were delighted to visit Hwa Gung Tea in Taichung. HGT is a 5th generation tea company, whose roots date back to 1918, during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. They have won multiple international awards and are well-known for their discerning selection of tea, with particular expertise in teas grown in the highest mountainous regions of Taiwan.
This bar has a rich, sweet aftertaste with a unique astringency. Notes: fruity, woody, alpine flowers.
The bar itself is hand-decorated with a beautiful ocean motif, a nod to our island heritage.
50 g (1.75 oz)
Contains: Dairy and soy.

Our chocolate is best kept in a cool, dry environment, away from sunlight and strong-smelling food. The ideal conditions are 55°F to 65°F and around 50% humidity. A wine fridge is a perfect storage solution!
For longer-term storage (up to 6 months), you can freeze them by following these steps:
- Wrap the entire box tightly in several layers of plastic wrap.
- Store in the freezer.
- When ready to enjoy, remove from the freezer and allow to reach room temperature before unwrapping. (This is critical to prevent sugar or fat bloom—the rough, grayish texture.)
Thawed bonbons should be enjoyed within 2 weeks.
