From the Formosa Chocolates Research and Development Lab, we present our second bar, Hojicha Milk 7.5%

Hojicha is a roasted green tea from Japan, which blends beautifully with cocoa butter and milk.  This edition is slightly less sweet than the first iteration. The bar itself is decorated with a beautiful ocean motif, a nod to our island heritage.

Care information

Our chocolate is best kept in a cool, dry environment, away from sunlight and strong-smelling food. The ideal conditions are 55°F to 65°F and around 50% humidity. A wine fridge is a perfect storage solution!

For longer-term storage (up to 6 months), you can freeze them by following these steps:

  • Wrap the entire box tightly in several layers of plastic wrap.
  • Store in the freezer.
  • When ready to enjoy, remove from the freezer and allow to reach room temperature before unwrapping. (This is critical to prevent sugar or fat bloom—the rough, grayish texture.)

Thawed bonbons should be enjoyed within 2 weeks.
